In short
- Use VirtualMeets lawfully and respectfully.
- Translation is automatic and can be wrong: don't rely on it alone where a mistake is costly.
- Meetings are free for now, and nobody needs an account.
- You must be 16 or older.
- The service is provided as is, without warranties.
01Agreement
VirtualMeets is operated by To be filled in: legal entity: name, registration number and address (“VirtualMeets”, “we”). By using VirtualMeets you agree to these terms. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you may accept them for it. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
02The service
VirtualMeets lets you hold video meetings by link in which every participant hears the others translated into their own language, as a synthetic voice and as subtitles. A meeting can have up to 8 participants.
We keep improving the service, so features may change, and it may be unavailable at times, for example during maintenance.
03Accounts and age
Nobody needs an account at the moment: anyone can start a meeting, and anyone with its link can join it.
You must be at least 16 years old to use VirtualMeets.
04Free plan and paid plans
Meetings are free for now, with no monthly limit.
We may introduce limits and paid plans. The current limits are always shown on the site, and we will never charge you without your explicit agreement to a price first.
05Meeting links
Anyone who has a meeting's link can join it until the link expires, 24 hours after it was created. Share it only with the people you mean to invite. As a host you can lock a meeting and remove participants, and you're responsible for whom you invite.
06Machine translation
Speech recognition, translation and voices are produced automatically, by software. They can mishear, mistranslate, miss words or fall behind the speaker. VirtualMeets is not a substitute for a professional or certified interpreter.
Don't rely on it alone in medical, legal, financial or other situations where a mistake could cause harm, and confirm important points another way, for example in writing.
Everyone in a meeting hears the translation. By joining, participants accept that their speech is processed as the privacy policy describes; as a host, please make sure the people you invite know this.
07Acceptable use
You must not use VirtualMeets to:
- break the law, or help anyone break it;
- harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate anyone;
- share illegal content, including any content that sexually exploits children, or incite hatred or violence;
- record or monitor other participants without their consent where the law requires it;
- send spam or malware, or anything that harms other people's devices;
- interfere with the service, test or break its security, overload it, or get around its limits, for example with several accounts or by creating meetings automatically.
We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules, and end meetings that do.
08Your content
What you say, show and write in a meeting belongs to you or to whoever owns it. You allow VirtualMeets to transmit, recognise, translate and voice it only as far as needed to run the meeting. We don't claim ownership of it and don't use it for advertising. You're responsible for having the right to share what you share.
09Other services
VirtualMeets relies on other companies, listed in the privacy policy.
10No warranty
VirtualMeets is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that translations will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
11Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, VirtualMeets is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for decisions made on the basis of translations. To be filled in: Cap on liability, if any
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
12Ending
You can stop using VirtualMeets at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end the service, or your access to it, if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the service; where reasonable, we'll tell you in advance.
13Governing law and disputes
To be filled in: Governing law, and the courts or arbitration that settle disputes
Before going to court, please write to us: most issues can be solved by email.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and announce significant changes on the site before they take effect. If you keep using VirtualMeets after that, the new terms apply.
